Monrovia, Liberia – The Executive Director of the National Investment Commission (NIC) participated in the official launch of the Investment Promotion Agencies of West African States (IPAWAS), marking a significant milestone in advancing regional cooperation on investment promotion.
The launch brought together representatives from investment promotion agencies across West Africa, along with key stakeholders and development partners, to foster collaboration and strengthen efforts to attract and retain investment in the region.
During the event, participants highlighted the importance of a coordinated regional approach to investment promotion, emphasizing the need to harmonize policies, share best practices, and improve the overall competitiveness of West African economies.
The NIC Executive Director underscored Liberia’s commitment to regional integration and cooperation, noting that participation in IPAWAS will enhance the country’s ability to engage with international investors and promote cross-border investment opportunities.
The establishment of IPAWAS is expected to facilitate knowledge exchange, capacity building, and joint promotional initiatives among member states, positioning West Africa as an increasingly attractive destination for global investment.
