Monrovia, Liberia – The National Investment Commission (NIC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the China National Complete Engineering Corporation (CNCEC) to advance key infrastructure development projects across Liberia.

The signing ceremony marks a significant step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation and accelerating the implementation of strategic infrastructure initiatives aimed at supporting Liberia’s economic growth and development.

Under the MOU, both parties will collaborate on the identification, planning, and execution of projects in critical sectors including transportation, energy, and public infrastructure. The partnership is expected to enhance Liberia’s capacity to deliver large-scale development projects while attracting additional foreign direct investment.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, NIC officials emphasized the importance of infrastructure development as a cornerstone for sustainable economic progress. They noted that improved infrastructure will not only boost productivity but also create employment opportunities and improve the quality of life for Liberians.

Representatives of CNCEC expressed their commitment to bringing technical expertise, innovative solutions, and global experience to support Liberia’s development agenda. They highlighted their readiness to work closely with the Government of Liberia to ensure successful project delivery.

The agreement also reflects Liberia’s continued efforts to build strong international partnerships and position itself as a competitive destination for investment in West Africa.

The ceremony concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to transparency, efficiency, and long-term collaboration in delivering impactful infrastructure projects across the country.
